About the world
What is a world? Yes, I know, quite the question, isn’t it? But it is one that surely popped in your head once or twice while hearing about Ron’s journey. Well, I can’t say too much or it could give away the entire thing but… I can try to offer a small snippet.
In the beginning there was nothing, just blackness… What? Too far into the past? Sadly, it has to be, in order for you to understand where we arrived.
As I was saying… in the beginning there was nothing, just the Void, a blackness that encompassed Creation and a tiny spark of…something. That spark eventually morphed, or evolved, or grew into a being of unimaginable power. A very, very, lonely being of unimaginable power.
In his loneliness, he started creating companions, mere dolls that would keep him company. In time he imparted those dolls with personalities and abilities that mirrored his own, albeit on a miniscule level. The original being, Universalis, let his dolls do whatever they wished. So they did; they made what would later be known as Worlds. An almost infinite number of Worlds. But they were baren, just rocks floating in the void. The Makers of some of those Worlds had the strange idea to create living beings to populate their Worlds. So they did.
I won’t bore you with details about how the Engine of Death works and other systems put in place by Universalis and his Makers. But what is important to know is that not all Worlds were made equal: some had been gifted with more intelligent beings, or beings with uncanny abilities, or perhaps was World had winds of invisible forces blowing that people could use to reshape the elements or discover new ones!
The World you live in, the World the unsung and forgotten hero Pop Ronald lives in is such a World. It has the usual characteristics of an Earth-like world: the shape, size, climes, all the physical characteristics are there. But there are some unique aspects, the Hidden. True, the Hidden are not entirely unique, you may have heard about their likeness from other people, other Seers, usually, but that’s what happens when the Makers create untold billions of Worlds, there are bound to be similarities. The important part is to be able to look past them and enjoy the story you are told!
Sorry about that. Got a bit heated there. Anyway… Sadly, I cannot say much more without spoiling the story me and a certain Seer and relaying. All you can do now is sit back, relax…
…And let me tell you a story…
